acht Survey – Professional Boat Inspection & Pre‑Purchase Survey

A yacht survey is a professional evaluation in which a qualified surveyor thoroughly examines all structural and system components of a vessel. The aim is to reveal the true condition of the yacht — whether you are purchasing, insuring, or re‑certifying — and to protect you from possible risks.

Why should you have a yacht survey service?

  • To uncover hidden damage or risks in the hull and deck

  • To detect faults in machinery, electrical, water or fuel systems

  • To foresee potential costs before purchase

  • To obtain a valid report for valuation and insurance processes

  • To make a secure, informed and risk‑free investment

How is a survey done?

Hull & On‑Land Inspection

  • Hull and keel inspection

  • Tapping test with a plastic hammer (to check hull integrity)

  • Moisture measurement and thermal camera analysis

  • Inspection of underwater components (propeller, shaft, rudder, fittings)

  • Engine performance and temperature checks

  • Vibration measurement

  • Speed and maneuverability tests

  • Assessment of sailing safety and seaworthiness

  • Electrical systems, water plumbing, fuel lines, battery status

  • Inspection of living areas, ventilation / air systems

  • General safety checks for comfort and equipment
